Dealing with Credit Card Companies

Here are some actual examples of negotiations I’ve had with several of the credit card companies.

Debt of $18,187 with Card Company A: settled for $3,700

Debt of $16,608.79 with Card Company B: settled for $2,000

Debt of $18,129.79 with Card Company C: settled for $2,000

Debt of $27,077.37 with Card Company D: settled for $8,123.22

If you add up just these four cards, total DEBT was $80,002.95 and Settled for $15,823.22!

As I was getting ready to “draw a line in the sand” and not pay the credit card companies, not because I didn’t want to, but because I wasn’t able to. I had many questions, some of my questions were:

  • What will happen next if I don’t pay the credit card bills?
  • What arrangements should I make or what should I not do?
  • Who can I turn to, can I trust anybody?
  • Will the credit card companies work with me, or do I need to file bankruptcy?
  • Even if I could make arrangements, where will I get the money?
  • Will I be taken to court? If so, what do I need to do?

This book will answer those questions and more. I am sure there are others with the same questions, wondering what will happen. With all that said, I can assure you that there is HOPE in the midst of this struggle.

I am only able to share with you my experience of actual settlements when I negotiated with the creditors. I cannot guarantee or suggest that you will get the same results.
